Bioshock
"Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his own brow?"
Bioshock, released late last year by 2K Games, is an amalgamation of FPS and RPG genres set during 1960. The game still offers a useful benchmark experience with DX10 support. Specially designed water effects and enhanced lighting provide an underwater experience that is immersive and detailed.
A video of the approximate Bioshock game play experience during DX9 and DX10 testing is below. Feel free to follow the line graphs over the 300-second time span while the video is playing, or reference the MIN/MAX/AVG chart for summary FPS data. Audio quality is not a priority, and we recommend turning down the volume.

This Leadtek PX8800GT handles every moment of game play while maintaining a playable 40+ FPS under DX9. The higher quality texture sets and rendering methods accessible under DX10 normalize FPS bursts during game play, but they do not affect the bottom line in this game. In fact, frame rate tests at 1600x1200 resolutions average out to 57FPS in both Direct X versions. The 8800GT handles this game with grace.

High Quality Graphs: 8800GTS-DX9, 8800GT-DX9, 8800GTSMMA-DX9, 8800GTMMA-DX9
The PX8800GT shows a 22%-25% increase in average frame rates under DX9 rendering in comparison with the more expensive EVGA 8800GTS 640MB. We can confidently say that the PX8800GT provided a more consistent and enjoyable gaming experience. This is more than likely due to the core architectural differences and higher shader clock of the G92 compared to the G80.
