Below is the list of games linking to the corresponding page on the pconline.com.cn site. At each link, there are pictures of the settings of each game, and an in-game screen shot. For convenience, there is also a link to the enlarged graphs. It should be easy to extrapolate the important data. Numbers are understood in any language.

Due to irregularities presented by the inefficient drivers, the real performance of the new HD3870X2 is stunted. It also makes it hard to judge the AA and AF performance differences in the cards. Despite this abnormality, AMD-ATi still manages to outperform NVIDIA overall, and they may be the new leaders. Whether or not the 9800X2 will be able to compete is in the balance. It will be especially difficult to match the 449USD price point that ATi set. If AMD can optimize their code before the NVIDIA launch, they have a legitimate chance at maintaining their pole position.
The 8800 Ultra is NVIDIA's ultimate retail offering, but ATi's contribution provides a healthy dose of realism for the aging king. This should definitely provide a needed boost to AMD's expected financial come back in 2H08. NVIDIA will react with their 9800X2, but only one fact is clear, the new card from ATi beats the long-standing 8800 Ultra. Once AMD achieves consistency, this will be an interesting battle.
AMD is supposed to release the card today on **01-23-08 at 449USD. However, we do not know enough about this card yet to make a definitive analysis. The driver issue complicates performance numbers and clarity, but that is fixable. Pconline.com.cn believes the card has some serious potential to hold the title of fastest video card. They also believe this hinges on working drivers from ATi. BHFO's conclusion is the same.
**Update** It looks like ATi pushed back the release date to January 28, 2008. This move is to allow time for AMD to improve the drivers, as well as launch all of their cards at the same time. This was so sudden that many companies could not react in time, and that is why there are many "leaks" out on the internet.
