Shuttle has been receiving a lot of buzz about their new
KPC -
a $199 Wal-Mart-Box PC that is probably going to confuse lots of uninformed firt-time users, but it is a big move for the Linux-On-The-Desktop movement.
gOS 2.0, or
"rocket" was launched - the interface looks simple and easy to
use. Enthusiasts might not like it
Remote-Exploit.org
has put out BackTrack 3.0 beta! - A wonderful security distribution, capable of
doing crazy things: all on a one-gig flash drive.
And last of all, CentOS
4.6 - There is a great write-up on how easy it is to make it into a
firewall solution, instead of some program that you paid for... ha. The system runs on spare parts which always a plus. While it does not cover everything, it does provide som nice
tidbits.
